This time, it’s Chris Rolfe.

The Chicago Fire announced that Rolfe will be leaving the team after the season in order to join Danish powerhouse Aalborg BK (AaB for short).

Aalborg currently have American striker Marcus Tracy in their squad and are currently sitting 2nd in the Danish table.

  1. Is he trying to get on the WC roster or BB’s radar by moving to Europe?

    • From what I gather, he’s been posturing for a move out of the Fire organization for a while now, and they just didn’t want to sell him. Foolish, since now they get nothing and he can go play for more money.

I don’t think he’s a candidate for a roster spot unless we get hit with a boatload of injuries. He’s moving for more money and more playing time. Good move for him.
