Hejduk called into camp

According to the USMNT blog, Frankie Hejduk has been called in to fill Clint Dempsey’s void.

It’s unlikely, with both Steve Cherundolo and Jonathan Spector fit and in-form, that Hejduk will dress for the game…but stranger things have happened under Bob Bradley’s watch.

How big would the meltdown be if our starting outside backs against Honduras were Hejduk and Bornstein?

  1. This sounds more like old BB is maybe planning to use Hejduk as a outside mid. If this happens, do I have any volunteers for a lynch mob as we have Holden, Torres, Feilhaber all more than capable of starting this game.

  2. If Hejduk plays, I will find BB’s house and kick his trash cans over every trash night until the World Cup.

  3. Does anyone know where we can watch the game?

  4. In the modern television world with nine zillion channels — including several that focus on soccer — USA-Honduras is only available via closed-circuit feed. The Honduran soccer federation — which, as the home team, owns the television rights — decided to sell to a company, MediaPro, which proceeded to price itself out of negotiations with ESPN and FSC. Without getting bogged down in the details, the decision to show the game exclusively on closed circuit was to capitalize on the Honduran fans in America.
